Online Platforms Reaction Many shoppers and sellers are posting online claiming that product pages now present a different size category than originally posted as a result of the reclassification. The company said the new system was more in line with similar services. The platform has recommended to examine their items and manually change the size when needed, causing user dissatisfaction. Measurement Approach Modifications Previously, the sizing featured one number and one letter, like S/8 or M/10. The updated approach includes a letter and a range like S/UK 8-10. For certain items, the size labels have been reassigned - such as a large size was formerly size 12 but is now a UK 16-18. User Accounts One content creator, who creates plus-size fashion videos, explained the modification "makes transactions more difficult". "Few clothing companies classify XL as 20-22," as the platform currently indicates. Stephanie Gallen, based in Glasgow, explained products she uploaded with size 14 tags were displaying on the service as measurements 20-22. "Should someone sized 20-22 purchase these they will likely be quite upset," she stated. Necessary Adjustments A different user, based in Derby, stated she felt frustrated by the change as she had to manually change the measurements for "each individual item". "Personally, this is quite irritating, since I have chronic health issues and platform income has been essential for me since losing part of my income," she stated.
